Dr. Lisa amundson
Dr. Lisa Amundson is a current Tenured Professor at Northwest Nazarene University in Idaho. She is the Director of the Special Education Program in the Graduate Education Department. She holds a PhD. in Teaching and Learning and Special Education, a master’s in School Counseling, and an MBA.
Amundson has over 20 years of experience in Special Education including 10 years as a Director of Special Education, Dean for the College of Education and Social Sciences, and was the President of the Idaho Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). She has worked for countless school districts, helping them navigate tricky IEPs, Evaluation Processes, and Disciplinary situations.
About Our services
When the responsibility of special education compliance for your district falls onto your shoulders, it can feel overwhelming, risky, and lonely. It doesn’t have to be this way. Amundson consulting services will provide a confidential partnership that guides the conversation. School Districts already have in place the ability to handle 90% of the compliance and individual student challenges that present themselves. However, when that last 10% of special circumstances appear it is beneficial to partner with years of experience and training in the field of special education law and compliance.
